We carry out genetic and genomic studies in natural populations, including Atlantic herring, Darwin's finches, ruff and wagtails) and in domestic animals, including chicken, horse, rabbits, pigs and mouse. The aim of these projects is to advance basic knowledge concerning the relationship between genetic variation and phenotypic variation. The projects involve whole genome sequencing, RNA sequencing, ATAC sequencing as well as targeted sequencing of certain regions. We have generated whole genome sequencing data for thousands of individuals in these projects. This large amount of data is the reason for our request for a large storage project.
This is a continuation of previous large storage projects SNIC 2020/2-19.
