Abstract

The project will set up a regional atmospheric inversions to quantify the surface CO2 fluxes over Europe for the last decade, with a particular focus on Northern Europe. The inverse modelling system will consist of a global, Eulerian atmospheric transport model (TM5-4DVAR) coupled to a regional high resolution Lagrangian transport model (FLEXPART). The modelling activities are part of the EUROCOM project funded by VR. The project should be run on Triolith, as TM5 shares part of its code and libraries requirements with the EC-Earth model, which is already set up and running on Triolith.
