Abstract

The Swedish pine (Pinus sylvestris) has one of the widest geographic distributions of any forest tree species. In this project I will look at exome capture reads from haploid tissue of pine populations originating from the extremes of P. sylvestris’ distribution (Spain, Turkey and NE China) and compare it to the pine in Sweden, to trace sequence origins and variation within sampled populations.
