Abstract

The aim of the project is to interface, test, and develop an experimental spin-polarized Density Matrix Renormalization Group (DMRG) impurty solver for DMFT, based on a Matrix Product State library developed in Graz, Austria. In the first part of the project we will test the solver and the underlying approximations for the Hubbard model, but in parameter regimes that are close to what one finds in material calculations. The second part of the project is to interface the solver to the FP-LMTO code RSPt with the aim of doing self-consistent DMFT calculations using the DMRG solver.
