Abstract

The interconnected role of spatial structure, evolutionary community assembly, and food-web dynamics are not yet well understood, and may be of crucial importance as the heterogeneous environments in which species live face potentially great disturbances with the onset of global warming. This project aims to understand how heterogeneously distributed resources affect the spatial distributions and community structure of species in a food-web through the numerical solution of systems of partial differential equations.
