Abstract

Biologically detailed data-driven models of individual neurons, neuron microcircuits and functional neural networks are developed. The main goal of the study is to achieve ultimate realism of simulated electro-physiological behavior of the target "modules" of the nervous system -- basal ganglia, related thalamic and cortical areas, as well as subcortical control centers and spinal locomotor networks. The work is performed in collaboration between research groups in CST CSC KTH and Dept. of Neuroscience KI.
