Abstract

The project aims at simulating drug diffusion through a model of the human skin barrier. During the last proposal period the permeability of water, and some other solvents, through the atomic model was calculated and compared with reference data. In the next step permeability coefficients of more compounds will be calculated. Permeation enhancing compounds will also be introduced in the lipid matrix system to study their effect on the permeability coefficient.
