Abstract

The wavy interface in annular two-phase flow is crucial to the heat and mass transfer process. CFD is a promising approach to investigate such behaviors. Among different two-phase modeling methods, VOF might be the most suitable one because of its simplicity and mass conservation feature. However the main drawback of VOF is that very fine mesh is needed to capture the interface. Therefore relatively large computing resources are necessary for the current project.
