Abstract

We will perform a computer model study comparing different schemes, mainly optical phase conjugation and phase-sensitive amplifiers, for mitigation of nonlinear distortion in fiber-optic communication systems. Fiber nonlinearities is one of the main limiting factors to increasing the data throughput in modern submarine (e.g. transatlantic) fiber-optic communication systems.
