Abstract

The aim of this project is integrating existing biological knowledge and developing coherent models of different neuro-degenerative diseases mainly MS and Alzheimer for facilitating the discovery of safer and more efficient combinatorial therapeutic approaches. Within this project we will identify ‘omics’ signatures associated with each subgroup of patients and predict new partial phenotypes based on existing observed ones. This will be done by applying and developing probabilistic machine learning method bioinformatics tools, and differential equation models (ODE). These ‘omics’ signatures will help to understand the molecular mechanisms underpinning prognosis and response to therapy of individuals suffering from MS or Alzheimer.
