Investigation of the causes of brain tumors through studies of molecular epidemiology
We investigate the causes of brain tumors through studies of molecular epidemiology. We have two primary research interests. The first is to investigate possible genetic predisposition towards brain tumors in children (medulloblastoma), by conducting a genome wide association study to establish specific gene variants associated with increased risk of disease. The second is to investigate correlations between established risk genotypes and tumor phenotypes in glioma (a type of brain tumor).
