The Cherenkov Telescope Array (CTA) project is composed by a consortium consisting of over 1000 scientists working in 197 institutes from 29 countries. Sweden in CTA is participating with Linnaeus, Lund and Stockholm Universities. CTA simulations and data have to be handled with large computing infrastructures, given the large data output. The CTA GRID initiative is well established and collaborators are willing to help setting up the infrastructure in Sweden at Lunarc. It is important that Sweden participates in the initiative, to be able to participate to the CTA design study optimisation and access the real data as soon as they will be flowing in.
