Abstract

We investigate speciation mechanisms in plants. To this end, we analysed reproductive barriers between two naturally hybridizing plant species, Silene dioica and S. latifolia, and investigate their genetic control in a QTL experiment. Moreover, we study range wide genomic divergence in genomic areas related to reproductive isolation in order to understand the evolution of these barriers. In both cases, genotyping is done with reduce representation sequencing (ddRAD).
