Abstract

In this project, more realistic carotid artery and the atherosclerotic plaques with different compositions and dynamics will be simulated. To improve the computational efficiency, the C++/CUDA simulation codes will be run on Intel CPU's and CUDA-enabled Nvidia GPU's. The simulation results will give a better understanding of the plaque ultrasound intensity variations and the texture feature statistics.
