Abstract

It is often necessary to couple different software packages when doing full system simulations as in the automotive industry, for instance. We have developed software which makes use of an emerging standard for creating compatible interfaces on a variety of software packages, and in particular, we have developed a numerical method which can robustly couple components when these encapsulate dynamical systems. The software is fully parallel, using MPI, and small tests on a cluster would be invaluable to understand performance and limitations. The focus is on numerical methods but the software plays an very important role.
