Abstract

The nuclear receptor subfamily 2 group E member 1 (NR2E1), commonly known as TLX, is an orphan receptor involved in neurogenesis and adult stem cell maintenance. Similar to other NRs, e.g. estrogen receptor alpha (ERα), androgen receptor (AR), and progesterone receptor (PR), TLX has recently been shown to promote cancer stem cell genesis and contribute to cancer development and progression. In the present study, we used RNA-seq to evaluate changes in gene expression, genetic variants and structural rearrangements in induced eGFP control and TLX-overexpressing HEK 293T cells.
