Abstract

Vibrations in the built environment is an increasing problem due to the urban densification that occurs today. Also the trend of design buildings with light-weight materials and long spans contributes to the problem. The goals of this project is to understand, predict and prevent disturbing and annoying vibrations for equipment and humans operating the built environment. The main tools we are using are numerical ones that require large computation resources.
